Researchers from Dartmouth College have added a twist to Visible Light Communication (VLC), encoding the data into ultra-short high frequency pulses that are imperceptible to human eyes, yet detectable by photodiodes. The idea is to make the most of VLC even in daylight when indoor lighting would typically be turned off.
