    Gene Inspector for Macintosh

    Step-by-Step

    1. Download Gene Inspector for Macintosh.
    2. Double click the downloaded zip file. This should unzip the file to a folder with the same name.
    3. Open the folder Gene Inspector 2.0.
    4. Copy the Gene Inspector application to the Applications folder.
    5. Copy the Gene Inspector 2.0 folder to your Documents folder.

    Details

    Media projects, such as short movie projects, image slide shows or poster projects, can offer an engaging alternative to traditional text-based assignments (papers). It often assists students to be be more involved in the learning process. In some cases students with different learning styles grasp concepts more clearly through audiovisual media than through reading text alone. Another strength of media projects is that they lend themselves to sharing, and generate high levels of peer interest.

    ImageJ for Macintosh

    Step-by-Step

    1. Download ImageJ from this link.
    2. Unzip the downloaded file by double clicking it. The default behavior on Macintosh will be to unzip the file into a folder in the same location and with the same name as the zip file.
    3. Copy the ImageJ folder into your Applications folder.
