OnBase is a single enterprise information platform in use to manage content and processes for Dartmouth's Digital Records.

Available to

Faculty, Staff and Students who have authorized access.

Benefits and Features

OnBase enables records custodians and their consumers to improve productivity by capturing, storing, handling and controlling access to College documents and processes from a central and secure location.

  • Centralizes the important business content in one controlled and secure location.
  • Reduces redundant copies of documents existing in uncontrolled locations, e.g., emails, local user folders, network folders, etc.
  • Multiple methods of capturing electronic documents, e.g., Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word and Excel, file imports and scanner import for larger documents.
  • Automated document electronic routing through customized workflows.
  • Electronic forms can be created, electronically routed and then stored in OnBase, allowing users to add or update information to the form through its lifecycle.
  • Controlled access to each document type.
  • Extensive integration capabilities with most business applications.
  • Automates and enforces document retention and records management policies to reduce retention non-compliance risks.
  • Documents in OnBase repository can be accessed from mobile devices including iPad and Droid tablets.
  • Reduces the storage overhead associated with paper documents.
