Information Technology Services (ITS) Employment Policies

Some of the policies for working at ITS:

  • Standard Business Hours: ITS' normal business hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some offices close during the lunch hour.
  • Nonstandard Hours Support: For systems deemed critical by the institution, support is provided outside of standard business hours.
  • Standard Employee Work Hours: To ensure support coverage, ITS normal staff schedules are between 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Individual schedules during those hours are at the discretion of the manager. Some staff will be assigned to different shifts. Exceptions to these hours can be made only at the discretion of a senior director. Exceptions can be made to accommodate customer needs or work productivity issues. To be eligible for schedule exceptions the employee must be in good standing.
  • Confidentiality and Nondisclosure: All staff within ITS are required to sign a Confidentiality and Nondisclosure form (attached).

Current Employees

General human resource questions can be directed to the Business Management Services Director, Tana Perezcastaneda. Additionally each area of the College is assigned a human resources generalist from the Human Resources department who is available to assist staff. ITS' generalist is Mark Bowman, 646-9962.

Student Employees

The students are the“front line” of support at the IT Walk-in Center, and work in specialists roles in many other groups within the Academic and Campus Technologies group. All positions are filled on a term-by-term basis. The application process occurs over two to three weeks before the start of every term; applications are available at the IT Walk-in Center in 178J Baker/Berry.
