Facebook Is Fighting Back Against Fake News With PolitiFact as a Partner

Quotes Brendan Nyhan, professor of government, about how Facebook's new program to reduce the number of times that fake news is shared and viewed was overdue. "Their actions are a belated recognition of the lucrative market in fake news they helped create," Nyhan said. "With that said, the steps Facebook announced seem potentially effective.
