Hide Email Addresses from Recipients


To hide email address from other recipients, type the recipients' addresses in the Bcc field of the email message.

In order to display the Bcc field if it is not shown:

In Outlook:

  1. Click the Options tab.
  2. In the ribbon, click the Bcc button.


  1. Open your email account in any web browser.
  2. Click the 'gear icon' (Settings) to the right of your account name in the upper-right part of the browser window.
  3. Click Mail under "My app settings".
  4. On the left side, under the Mail section, under layout, select Message Format.
  5. In the message format section, check the box by Always show Bcc.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click the left-pointing arrow in a circle above options to return to the Outlook Web App.
  8. Click New mail and you will see the Bcc field present.

In AppleMail:

  1. Click the View menu.
  2. Click Bcc Address Field.
