Set Permissions for a Shared Mailbox Calendar


To refine who can schedule the Shared Mailbox's calendar directly:

  1. The owner of the Shared Mailbox needs to log into their account in
  2. Click your user photo in the upper right corner then click Open another mailbox.
  3. In the Open another mailbox box that comes up, enter the name of the Shared Mailbox.
  4. Select the account name and click Open.
  5. You will brought to the inbox for the Shared mailbox. Click the application launcher (the “tic-tac-toe” square) in the upper left corner field, then Calendar.
  6. In the Top banner, click Share, then Calendar.
  7. In the Share with field, look up the name of the account with whom to share this calendar. Then choose the appropriate sharing levels:
    • Availability only - shows the time of items on your calendar and no other details.
    • Limited details - show the time, subject, and location, but no other information.
    • Full details - show the time, subject, location, and other details of all items in your calendar.
    • Editor - An editor can edit your calendar directly.
    • Delegate - A delegate can edit your calendar, and can send and respond to meeting requests on your behalf.
  8. Click Send at the top to confirm the selections.
