    Access Your Voice Mail

    From an On Campus Phone: Press the messages key, then enter your password as prompted.

    Note: On occasion, the message light is shows red on your phone and doesn't go out once you clear the messages. To turn off the message light when there are no messages, dial 72099 from your phone.

    From an on Campus Phone Other Than Yours: Dial 6-1000. You will be prompted for your ID (your 5 digit extension), then your password.

    Dartmouth Accounts Service Overview

    Description

    Your Dartmouth account is a unique 7 character sequence of letters and numbers used to identify you to Dartmouth systems and services. It is commonly referred to as your NetID (Network Identifier).

    When a new account is created, it must be “claimed” before it can be used. The claiming process involves setting a password for the account, then choosing security questions and answers for the account. You will be prompted to answer these security questions at different times, one word answers are the best option.

    Employees and alumni of Dartmouth who have been locked out of their account due to entering incorrect security questions are now able to reset the questions themselves without the help of the IT Help Desk as long as they have a non-Dartmouth email address on file with employee.dartmouth.edu or iModules, respectively. This does not currently apply to students, sponsored accounts, departmental accounts, or organizational accounts.

    In those instances where a faculty member would like to invite or approve someone outside of the Dartmouth community to participate in their class, and needs that person to have access to their class website, they will need to request a "Guest Account".     How do I Reset my TMS (The Museum System) Password?

    Step-by-Step

    The TMS (The Museum System) password should be the same as your Dartmouth netid password. If they are not the same, there is something out of sync with Oracle Database and name directory. The way to remedy this is to reset your Dartmouth password. This will sync with TMS to make the passwords the same.

    Obtaining a New Office or Room Phone

    Students and departments must buy their own phones, which are purchased through the Computer Store. You can reach them via email at [email protected] or via phone at 603-646-3249.

    Once you have the new phone, you'll need to send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

    Phone Types by Dorm

    Details

    The table below provides information regarding which dorms use VoIP phones and which dorms use standard analog phones.

    In the dorms that are listed as VoIP, Dartmouth provides one phone for each room, regardless of the number of beds in the room. These phones are locked to the specific jack they are plugged into and cannot be moved by the student. See the Office of Residential Life for more information.
