    Faculty Search Tool for Search Committees

    Details

    Interfolio is an online Faculty Search tool offered by the Dean of Faculty office.

    It offers online dossiers, credentials, and letters-of-recommendation. Its application allows search committees to collect applications tailored to the needs of their positions, review applications on their own timeline, and customize evaluation criteria to suit their needs. In addition, faculty candidates experience a simplified application process, and departmental staff can avoid the need to copy and file paper materials.

    3. Open the folder Gene Inspector 2.0.
    4. Copy the Gene Inspector application to the Applications folder.
    5. Copy the Gene Inspector 2.0 folder to your Documents folder.

    Canvas Service Overview

    Details

    Description

    Canvas is a web-based tool for teaching, learning, and collaboration. All Dartmouth classes are automatically provisioned with a Canvas site. Canvas integrates with many other teaching and learning tools used at Dartmouth. New features, enhancements and bug fixes are applied to Canvas every three weeks.

    Canvas is developed and hosted by Instructure.

    Details

    Media projects, such as short movie projects, image slide shows or poster projects, can offer an engaging alternative to traditional text-based assignments (papers). It often assists students to be be more involved in the learning process. In some cases students with different learning styles grasp concepts more clearly through audiovisual media than through reading text alone. Another strength of media projects is that they lend themselves to sharing, and generate high levels of peer interest.

    How do I set my working directory?

    Your working directory is the directory or folder in which Stata looks when you give it a disk access command.

    • To see what your current working directory is, type "pwd"
    • To see the files and folders in your working directory, type "ls"
    • To move up one level in your directory tree, type "cd .."

    For instance, if you are in /Home/Users/johndoe/Stata and you type "cd .." then you will be in /Home/Users/johndoe.
