Dartmouth remote locations including Boston, New York and San Francisco have a secure wireless network that works like the Dartmouth Secure wireless on campus with a secure set identifier of "Dartmouth Secure Remote".

Remote locations also have a guest wireless network called GoGreen Remote. The GoGreen Remote network is WPA2-PSK like most people use at home with password only authentication.

Dartmouth faculty, staff and students should use Dartmouth Secure Remote as it has much higher network speeds than GoGreen Remote and the data is encrypted so that it is more difficult for hackers to see what is being transmitted. Guests in the remote offices should use GoGreen Remote.

The Dartmouth Secure Remote installer is different from the standard Dartmouth Secure installer in that it primes the computer for both the campus and remote wireless networks so that employees can travel between the two sites and automatically connect at either.
