Install JMP or JMP Pro on Windows

Step-by-Step

Annual license installers for Windows contain the files needed to run in 32-bit mode and in 64-bit mode. On 32-bit PCs, the installer will only install 32-bit files. On 64-bit PCs, you will be prompted to install either 32-bit or 64-bit files.

The 13_0 in the steps below is the version number, which will change in future releases.

  • Download the appropriate Zip file. The final installed disk space is approx 850 MB.
  • Unpack the .zip file.
  • Navigate to JMP\JMP\13_0\Windows\ or JMP\JMP_Pro\13_0\Windows\.
  • Run setup.exe.
  • There are no other options to select. The first launch of the program may ask you to register. This is optional; selecting 'yes' will open a web form.
  • If the license file bundled with the installer has expired, JMP will let you select a new license file and install it.  The _sid_files folder at the download link has all the current license files.  If needed, select the license file for the appropriate version and platform, download it to your computer, and then select that file in JMP.
  • Download any update (e.g. jmpupdater__1310__win__pro.exe) installers and run them after installing the initial package.  Currently there is an update from 13.0 to 13.1.

Details

There are two variants of JMP licensed for use at Dartmouth. This is an annually renewed site license.

A description of the additional functionality in JMP Pro can be found at do-you-need-jmp-pro12.pdf
