Description

Public computers are computers and workstations in open-access workspaces that are connected to the network and are maintained by Information, Technology & Consulting.

Public computers are available in several locations.  A specialized computing center is available in Bartlett Hall for faculty in the humanities.

Available to

Anyone with access to the buildings in which the public computers are located.

Benefits and Features

  • Allow access to the internet.
  • Many public computers have Dartmouth licensed applications installed that are used by students for classes.
  • GreenPrint printing services is available from public computers.

Requirements

There is no special requirement to access public computers. Most stations have a “public user” account that is automatically logged in with no password. Access from the public computers to any authenticated resources may require valid Dartmouth account credentials.

Additional Information

Please be sure to LOG OUT of any system accessed while using the public computers.

Do not leave any data on the public computers.
