STELLA for Windows

Step-by-Step

  1. Download STELLA.
  2. Double click the downloaded file STELLA_10.0.4.zip, and copy the STELLA_10.0.4_Windows folder to the desktop.
  3. Double click the STELLA_10.0.4_Windows folder on your desktop, then double click STELLA_10.0.4.
  4. Click Next, then I accept the terms of this agreement, then Next ,then Next, then Install.
  5. You may be prompted to allow the installer to make changes to your computer. Click Yes.
  6. View Release Notes and click Finish.
  7. In your list of Programs, you will now see STELLA 10.0.4. Within that folder, click STELLA 10.0.4 to start the application.

Optionally, you can install NetSim. NetSim is a companion application for Stella that allows users to publish models developed in Stella as web pages. To install:

  1. Download Netsim.
  2. Double click the downloaded file, isee_Netsim_2.0.1.zip, and copy the isee Netsim 2.0 folder to the desktop.
  3. Double click the isee Netsim 2.0 folder on your desktop, then double click isee_Netsim_2.0.1_Installer
  4. Click Next then I Agree then Next then Next then Next then Close.
  5. In your list of Programs, you will now see isee Netsim 2.0.1. Within that folder, click isee NetSim 2.0.1 to start the application.

Details

STELLA is a software package that facilitates the creation of both simple and complex numerical models. The download includes both the software installation and instructional manual installation.

This application is KeyServed and requires KeyAccess be installed on your computer, as well as a connection to the Dartmouth network each time you run STELLA.
