Update Personal Email Address with HR


If your Dartmouth account is compromised, ITS staff may contact you at a non-Dartmouth account, if there is one on record with HR, letting you know that we had to reset the password on your account. This may be the quickest way for you to learn why you can no longer access systems with your Dartmouth account.

Follow the steps below to verify the non-Dartmouth email address on record for you, and to update it in the event your personal email address changes.

  1. Go to
  2. Click Paperless Payslips & Direct Deposit.
  3. When prompted, enter your Dartmouth NetID and password.
  4. Answer your security questions, if prompted.
  5. On the page that appears, click the + (plus) next to Dartmouth Employee Self-Service then click Personal Information.
  6. Click Update, which appears on the far-right side of the Basic Details box.
  7. Click Next.
  8. In the Personal Email field, enter the full non-Dartmouth email address which you have access to.
  9. Click Next. A window will appear showing you what fields will be changed.
  10. Review the email address you've entered. If it's correct, click Submit.
    Important: You can only update your record once per day, so it's important to make sure the information is accurate before proceeding.
  11. Click Logout in the upper right corner of the window when you're done.
