Using SFTP for Windows

Step-by-Step

In order to use SFTP on a Windows computer, you must first install SSH Secure Shell which includes the SFTP client.

Follow the directions found at Connect with SSH Secure Shell.

  1. Log in to the computer with an SSH terminal window, then click on the folder icon that opens up SFTP. An SFTP session should appear.
  2. Use the GUI to drag and drop files from Windows to the remote file system (and vice versa).
