Renew a Canvas Guest Account

In those instances where a faculty member would like to invite or approve someone outside of the Dartmouth community to participate in their class, and needs that person to have access to their class website, they will need to request a "Guest Account". Please see Canvas Guest Accounts for more information.

To renew an existing Canvas guest account, the original faculty "approver" can use the Guest Account Administration Form to renew the account for another 16 weeks.

If the renewal of an existing Guest Account is being requested by a different faculty member, the account can be renewed by the appropriate academic consultant using OIM.

  • Update the Comments field.
  • Update the expiration date.
  • Expiration should be set for 16 weeks.
