How do I access Xfinity On Campus on my computer?

  1. Make sure you're on campus and connected to the campus wired or wireless IP network.
  2. Go to https://www.xfinityoncampus.com/.
  3. In the Login box, enter Dartmouth for the required school name.
  4. You’ll then be re-directed into the Dartmouth Web authentication process. Enter your Dartmouth NetID and password when prompted.
  5. Once authenticated, click Watch Now, then Go when the next Web page appears.
  6. The Xfinity On Campus player will launch shortly.

What is included in Dartmouth's Xfinity service?

Comcast's Xfinity On-Campus IP-TV service provides over 130 channels for students in Dartmouth-owned housing. Plus, students have the ability to purchase premium channels themselves, if desired.

What network do I need to be on to connect to Xfinity?

The Xfinity service will operate over the campus wired network, and on the Eduroam and Dartmouth Secure wireless networks.

Who can use Dartmouth's Xfinity service?

Residential students who want to view Comcast Xfinity On-Campus IP-TV service available over the wired and wireless (Dartmouth Secure, Eduroam) networks.

What are the supported devices and configurations for Xfinity?

Xfinity On Campus is currently available for viewing on Windows computers, Macintosh computers, Android and iPhone smart phones, iPads and 4th generation or later iPod Touch devices. It requires the following minimum system capabilities:

  • RAM: 512 MB minimum
  • Video card: 32 MB minimum (128 MB recommended)
  • Screen resolution: 800 x 600 minimum (1280 x 1024 recommended)
  • Adobe Flash version: 12 or higher

Additionally, Windows systems require:

  • Processor: Pentium 4 or newer
  • Operating system: Windows 7, Windows 8 (Metro touch interface not supported)
  • Browser: Internet Explorer 9, Safari 6, Firefox 27, or Google Chrome 32… All newer versions of these browsers will also work.

Macintosh systems require:

  • Processor: Intel Core Duo 1.83GHz or faster processor
  • Operating system: Mac OS X 10.9 or higher
  • Browser: Safari 6, Firefox 27, or Google Chrome 32… All newer versions of these browsers will also work.

iOS systems require:

  • Operating system: iOS 7 or higher
  • iPhones, 4th generation or later iPod Touches, and iPads. Note that the AirPlay function is disabled.

Android systems require:

  • Operating system: Version 4.0 and up.

How do I get help with Xfinity On Campus?

If you are trying to watch Xfinity in a web browser:

  1. First, retry your action two or three times.
  2. If that doesn't work, clear your browser cache and re-start your computer, then try again.

If you are trying to watch Xfinity on your mobile phone or tablet:

  1. Quit the app and restart the device to see if the problem goes away

If you are still having problems, email [email protected] and include the following information:

    • Your name and NetID
    • A phone number where we can reach you
    • The Date, time, and location (building and floor) where the problem occurred
    • The network you were connected to (Dartmouth wired, Dartmouth Secure, Eduroam)
    • A detailed description of the problem you are having
    • A screen shot of any error messages
    • Your operating system and browser
